Creative Nonfiction Foundation
About 5119 Coral Street
Creative Nonfiction moved to its current location in January 2016, after outgrowing a small office in Shadyside. We’re located between the Waldorf School and Penn Avenue.
We are excited to engage with the Pittsburgh community by opening our doors for regular events. Our schedule typically includes onsite workshops led by local and visiting authors; readings and gallery shows during First Fridays on Penn Avenue; and other special events!
At 5119 Coral Street, you can leave your shoes, coat, and creative blockages at the door. In our space, you can unwind and refresh your practice in the company of other writers, artists, and high-quality writing instructors.
Be the first to hear about new workshops and events. Sign up for an email alert here.
Accessibility & Amenities
The first floor of our building is fully accessible. This includes the gallery, our archives, access to our courtyard, and a fully accessible restroom. Entry to the building is up a short flight of steps or an electric lift.
Our office and a kitchenette are located on the second floor, up one flight of stairs. Although the kitchenette is not fully accessible, a member of the CNF staff will be onsite and available to assist those with accessibility needs.

Our office is located in the arts-centered Bloomfield/Garfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
