Mission Statement

The Pittsburgh Music Academy exists to give people of all ages the opportunity to make music a part of their lives. Music is a gift that you give yourself or your child that offers countless hours of pleasure and companionship with other musicians. Pursuing musical excellence with the Suzuki method develops self-esteem, the ability to learn complex mental and physical skills, and an appreciation of beauty.

Our History

The Pittsburgh Music Academy is a private music school based upon the philosophy and teachings of Shinichi Suzuki instructing approximately 300 students of all ages. Our students have become lifelong musicians, some professional and some amateur, but all better able to appreciate the beauty of the world and cope with life’s difficulties through music. Five musicians founded the school in 1996 to offer high quality instruction in a student friendly environment.
