The Nature of Art

This workshop will take place from 9am-12pm

This workshop will equip early-learning teachers (preK-2) with strategies for connecting the whole child with nature through visual-arts integration. Rather than focus on individual (“one-and-done”) activities, Lindsay will present various frameworks to incorporate nature and visual-arts-based learning throughout the school day and year. We will take a deep-dive into nature journaling, loose-parts labs, and design-based community-science projects, while reflecting on how each strategy can support arts-learning, core academic, and broader child-as-citizen goals.
