Public Art 101 is a one-day only, intensive training session for artists interested in working in the public realm.
During the first half of the day, participants will learn from local and national speakers about the history of, and how to make, public art.
The second half of the day will consist of breakout sessions discussing: how to apply and interview for opportunities; how to approach a fabricator; how to utilize design tools; and a dialogue about artist and community collaborations.
