In this workshop, you’ll explore the benefits and pitfalls of today’s most popular social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Pair the appropriate platforms with different scenarios that you may encounter in your work. You’ll learn how social media can communicate your brand, including the qualitative and quantitative ways by which to measure successful social media and the optimal frequency of engagement.
Zoe Sorrell is a creative and accomplished flutist and entrepreneur based in Pittsburgh, PA. She is the artistic director of the Pittsburgh-based contemporary music ensemble NAT 28, a role that has allowed her to shape the new music scene throughout the city. Sorrell also plays Baroque and Renaissance flutes. Her historical ensembles have performed around the United States at such events as the Kennedy Center’s Conservatory Project and the Boston Early Music Festival. As an educator, Sorrell also maintains an active studio of flute, piano, and entrepreneurship students. In 2013, she served on the faculty of the nationally acclaimed Sitka Fine Arts Camp in Alaska. She is currently the flute professor at Westminster College and teaches piano and flute at the Winchester-Thurston School. Sorrell holds Bachelor’s degrees in flute performance and English literature from Oberlin College and Conservatory and a Master’s degree in flute performance from Carnegie Mellon University.
