A 4-part workshop to gains skills in fostering productive dialogues around difficult topic was teaching or interpreting history.

Do you work in a field that interprets the past? As an educator, docent, historian or artist, have you struggled to facilitate a conversation around a difficult or contested history?

If so, join Rivers of Steel and the National Park Service in a four-part workshop presented by trainers from the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience. Learn methods in which to challenge visitor preconceptions and foster productive dialogue.

The February in-person workshops are scheduled to occur at the Rivers of Steel National Heritage Area Visitors’ Center in Homestead, PA. Registration will be $45 and includes meals. Space is limited. Additional registration details will be provided during the January 10 webinar.
