Our Story
Our CEO Alexis Grant founded The Write Life in 2013, leaning on her background as a writer and businesswoman to create a publication and community that’s insanely helpful for writers.

Her goal was to create an innovative and forward-looking resource, one that helps writers harness the power of the Internet to reach writing goals.

Over the last six years, we’ve published more than a thousand posts, ebooks and webinars about freelancing, traditional publishing, self-publishing, blogging and marketing your work. The community has grown to tens of thousands of writers, many of whom earn income doing writing-related work they enjoy.

Looking forward, we want to continue to grow this brand, so we can help as many writers as possible launch and grow robust careers with words!
